The Kim Lab focuses on developing innovative RNA-based therapeutics and delivery systems to treat cancer and infectious diseases. Our research explores the intricate relationship between material properties, tissue biology, and immunology to engineer next-generation RNA therapeutics. Through high-throughput screening, mechanistic studies, and the design of novel RNA constructs, we aim to overcome biological barriers to RNA transfection and enhance the efficacy of RNA vaccines and therapies. Our ultimate goal is to advance these technologies toward clinical applications, particularly in cancer immunotherapy and vaccines.
